Kelsey was born and raised in Gwinnett County, and now resides in Buckhead. She typically drives to OTP where she works as an IT recruiter. In her free time, you can find her at any Atlanta sporting event, throwing takes on Twitter dot com or hanging out in the Highlands or West Midtown with all her favorite pals in the world! I asked Kelsey some questions on the state of the franchise and some of her more personal stories as an Atlanta Falcons fan. Let’s get started. How did you become an Atlanta Falcons fan?I grew up in a college football only household so I had to venture into pro sports on my own. Sundays were always for spending 10 hours of the day at church. I didn’t start watching the Falcons until I was in high school. Being just from outside of Atlanta, it was easy to root for the Falcons. I take GREAT pride in our city so becoming a fan was the easiest thing I ever did. Is it emotionally great? Not always. But worth it.Who is your favorite Atlanta Falcons player of all-time?My all-time favorite Falcons player is such a close race, but I have to go with Julio Jones. My entire dad’s side of the family went to the University of Alabama, so when Julio got drafted it was so exciting for me. I have a large cut out of Julio’s head that I take to every single game with me. He is such a freak athlete and I always wait in anticipation for what he is going to do every Sunday. Such a selfless, team player. It also helps that he played for my favorite college team and coach ever. :)What are your thoughts on the 2019 Offseason? The 2019 offseason is one that has definitely captured my attention more so than others. We are coming off such a disappointing season, so it is very important to me that the right roster moves and staffing moves are made. I completely trust TD and DQ to draft well, and I hope they live up to that trust. I hope this offseason that our guys are pissed off with the season they had and they can shift their mindset to try everything to not have that type of season again. Can’t be like those dirty rivals and go 7-9 for three seasons in a row. What’s your favorite memory as an Atlanta Falcons fan?My favorite memory as a Falcons fan is tied. The first half of that game we do not speak of is first. I know I will probably catch so much crap Takkarist McKinley Jersey Boys , but I have never been so happy watching a game. We played a damn near perfect half. Any Falcons fan can admit that was the greatest time of their life. Obviously, we all slipped into a life changing depression after the first half but I can still remember the good moments of that game. The second is obviously the game that put us there. The 2017 NFC Championship when Matty Ice threw for almost 400 yards and 4 TD’s. My man Quintorris Lopez Jones with 2 of the best TD’s of the day. That was all around a perfect game. Fathering Aaron Rodgers was such a joy to watch, and a moment I will never forget.Who should the Atlanta Falcons select in the 2019 NFL Draft? The 2019 draft is so interesting because the Falcons are in the awkward mid-round pick spot with many needs to fill. My dream pick would be Quinnen Williams but we all know he will not be available. I would like Ed Oliver to really help the defense out or Jonah Williams on our offensive line.Where can your fellow Atlanta Falcons fans find you? Thanks everyone for reading! If ya’ll would like to read my terrible sports takes, then you can find me on twitter at @kelseytaysutton. You can also follow my personal Instagram account @kelsey.sutton. Remember that cut out of Julio’s head I was talking about? He also has an Instagram account and you can find him at @bigheadjetjones. If yall ever see me at a game then please come get a picture with him! I will leave all of my fellow Falcons fans with this message. We don’t recognize Gucci Mane anymore since he played at the New England Patriots Super Bowl party. Also remember it could always be worse. We could be Saints fans living in New Orleans.I greatly appreciate my friend Kelsey for sharing her thoughts on the Falcons, her personal stories and for being the focus of this week’s ‘Fan Spotlight’ article. Make sure to give her a follow on the accounts she listed above! If you’d like to be considered for a future ‘Fan Spotlight’ or know of someone who deserves to be, let me know on Twitter where you can find me at @EvanBirchfield. Thanks for reading! FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) — Coach Dan Quinn is not quite ready to look at rebuilding the Atlanta Falcons‘ running game for next year. He's more concerned with stopping a five-game losing streak that derailed the season and dropped the Falcons (4-9) to the bottom of the NFC South. But heading into Sunday's game against Arizona (3-10), there's no escaping how poorly the Falcons have run the ball. With top back Devonta Freeman injured most of the year and both starting guards on season-ending injured reserve, Atlanta is averaging 81.2 yards per game — last in the NFL. What's worse is the Falcons have little depth as they face a difficult task to find three starters in the offseason. With a high pick, they could draft a starting lineman and maybe sign another in free agency, but the backfield situation appears to be a mess."I recognize the question that we're not meeting the mark on that one, but I think it's unfair to talk about which player is here or not here and those things Cheap Takkarist McKinley Jersey ," Quinn said Thursday. "We're really just focused on this game and this matchup."Atlanta made Freeman the league's highest paid running back before the 2017 season, and he's missed 13 games over the last two years with head, knee and groin injuries. The Falcons hoped that Tevin Coleman would fill the void, but he only has 559 yards as the team's leading rusher. Rookie Ito Smith, the next man up, has averaged 3.5 yards on 81 attempts.Center Alex Mack, a five-time Pro Bowl selection, has found it difficult to build much consistency on the line. He and left tackle Jake Matthews have been the only starters for every game. Five players have started at the guard spots, and Ty Sambrailo replaced Ryan Schraeder at right tackle in last week's lopsided loss at Green Bay."It's definitely not a point in your favor, but it's not insurmountable," Mack said. "We've had injuries in the past, and guys have done a really good job of stepping up and performing really well. It is more difficult when that happens and when games are tight and you get behind. You don't have the luxury of trying to establish the run. You're going to pass the ball more."Quarterback Matt Ryan Custom Takkarist McKinley Jersey , the 2016 NFL MVP, leads a passing attack that ranks fourth, but Atlanta is so one-dimensional that opponents know what's coming and can tee off on the 11-year veteran. Ryan is on track to get sacked a career-high 46 times.A vacant run game is the reason why Ryan is being routinely pounded. Even though the Falcons had 124 yards rushing last week, it hardly felt like much of an achievement."It's a big part of what we do and such a big part of our identity that goes with it from the toughness standpoint, the toughness that we like," Quinn said. "When that's not aligned right, you feel like our compass is a little off. We're going to work like crazy to get that thing back to north like we like because without the strong run game, it feels like that part is off."Freeman is eligible to return this season, but he hasn't practiced since Week 5 and probably won't make it back with playoff hopes all but vanished."We've just been unlucky this season," Mack said. "It wasn't just one guy. It was three guys. You're just going to have to keep fighting through it."
